Ben Hill's Season in Review
Angel Mejia lost his focus in his last match and it cost him his season. Josh Corriell was seconds away from qualifying. Josh Corke had a phenominal post season. Sergio Avila and Jesse DeLaPena both improved on last year's state meet. Joey Isley was not in prime wrestling shape having missed almost half of the season due to an injury. Bobby Canales needed to do something to improve on last year's season. Zach Lefevre had a great season but needed more mat time to get him to state. Ale was spurred on to get better after his loss to Tommy Owen. I think he could have wrestled at any of the classes at state and won! Many of our other wrestlers need to get more mat time in order to turn the corner and become great wrestlers. I was pleased with how our young wrestlers started to come around at the end of the season. It was a good season but it could have been so much better.
