Prep wrestling: Divisions 2 and 3 results

VALDERS - Luxemburg-Casco had 10 wrestlers qualify for the individual sectional as the Spartans won their WIAA Division 2 regional Saturday and qualified for Tuesday's team sectional at Hortonville.

L-C, last year's Division 2 state champion, will face Ripon in one semifinal, while Freedom and Oconto Falls meet in the other semifinal. Both semifinals are at 6 p.m. with the final to follow at approximately 8 p.m. The top two finishers in each weight class qualified for the individual sectional next Saturday in Seymour.

The Spartans had seven regional champions - Adam Depeau (103 pounds); Jeremy Dart (112); Jamie Bostwick (125); Nick Pell (135); Adam Dorner (145); Jay Shefchik (160); and Troy Metzler (189) - while Travis Bouchonville (119), Kyle Veeser (171) and Jacob Schoenebeck (275) were L-C's runners-up.

Denmark advanced six wrestlers to the individual sectional as Tony Larsen (171) and Matt McFarlane (275) won regional titles, while Tim Kapinos (112), Ryan Johanek (152) and Ben Thiem (189) each placed second. ”KIMBERLY - Freedom advanced nine wrestlers to the individual sectional, compared to six for Seymour, as the Irish edged the Thunder by 9 1/2 points for the regional title.

Victor Hernandez (125), Mark Lee (130), Tom Martin (152) and Rick Schmoll (189) were Seymour's regional champs, while Marc Rozmiarek (103) and Tom Van De Yacht (119) each took second.
